Wambali was the “unofficial President” of Malawi (he was held in such high esteem across that nation). A celebrated songwriter, performer, and cultural icon. He was sadly taken from us, way too early, by COVID, but he leaves behind a treasure of music for the ages. ‘Moto’, produced by JB Arthur, is another example of Wambali’s deft touch, deep heart, & fiery passion for the social issues he addresses through his music. This album again features Brass arrangements by JB Arthur, with a great band including Victor Masondo (Bass), Barry van Zyl (Drums), Godfrey Mgcina (Perc), Erik Paliani & Danny Bridgens (Guitar), and Tim Hoare (Fender Rhodes & Hammond Organ).
